But his very first transfer, at just seven years old, had a very different price: 26 footballs.

El Torito, the neighborhood club where he first played, agreed to let him go to Rosario Central in exchange for those balls. Yet they never arrived.

For Romper la Pared, the Netflix series that tells Di María’s story, we decided to settle that debt once and for all.

We created 26 unique balls, each representing a defining moment from the series and from Ángel’s life—his family, his humble beginnings, the streets where he learned to dribble, his greatest triumphs, and the essence of Argentina itself.

Designed alongside an artist and Alexis, his childhood teammate, these balls are more than symbols. They are a tribute to the struggles, sacrifices, and dreams that built the legend of Ángel Di María.

Because Romper la Pared is not just about football—it’s about overcoming obstacles, defying expectations, and proving that some debts are worth more than money.
